About the Event
Join me for an evening of discovery and dining, as I take you on a walking tour of Newtown’s vibrant past, starting in 1855, at Newtown Station, and finishing about an hour or so later, in 1889, at the Trocadero, Newtown’s premier roller-skating rink.
Dinner will be nearby, at the Pastizzi Cafe, followed by gelato at one of Newtown’s premier Gelateria - Mapo.
If you would like to attend, please sign up by Friday 22nd April, as this will help with booking dinner at the Pastizzi Café 6:30pm.
The walking tour will be adapted from the City of Sydney’s collection of Culture Walks, called Gritty Newtown History Walk. Feel free to download the walk beforehand.
In the event of inclement weather, you will be notified on the day if the event will be cancelled
